One of the best newspapers for finding out what is really going on in the world is the Chicago Tribune. This newpaper has all the bad news and crime stories plus a lot of good news, like columns by funny and smart people about everything from weekend trips with the family to concerts and shows, to cooking and relationships. When I want to know what is happening, I can go online to the Chicago Tribune and find out in just a few clicks.

Very Sore Throat

My allergies have been making me really sick today. I was supposed to go out with friends but I think I’m going to have to cancel and just stay home tonight. I cannot breathe and my ears hurt. My throat is sore and I have a huge headache.I’m going to take some Nyquil and go to bed early.

I sure hope that it is just allergies and nothing more serious. I’ve heard rumors that strep throat is going around. That’s ALL I need!

Rats with Furry Tails

My yard has a squirrel party every evening. There are bunches of them cavorting in the grass and taunting my dogs, who have to sit in their window seats and stare helplessly as the squirrels frolic for hours before the sun goes down.

If my dogs could climb trees, there would be far less squirrels in our neighborhood. But alas, they cannot climb trees, so the squirrels have the advantage – for now.

The Little Things in Life

I love the fact that I’m in my 30′s yet still learning things everyday.  I love the understanding I have now that I’m a little bit older.  I feel I have experienced enough to take the good with the bad.  Plus I feel I’ve experienced enough to make good choices.  Most importantly though I finally can truly understand the importance of the little things in life.

For example I see how unimportant money is and how important family is.  I see how what you do doesn’t matter half as much as you think it does.  I understand that everybody sees things differently and that we should love and respect the differences in each other.  I see how this world is such a better place because there are so many people working together to improve the lives of others.  With more men and women a job can get done twice as well.  Hopefully a deeper understanding will keep happening with each day.

Everyone I know is Pregnant!

What is going on these days?!  Can I blame it on the weather?  It is Springtime and you’ve heard about spring fever, right?  I honestly don’t know what it is but 4 of my friends are currently pregnant.  It’s crazy, by the end of the summer I am going to be going to Baby Showers on a weekly basis.  I’m really happy for them, but lately all of our conversations seem to revolve around pink, blue, and baby names.  I guess this is one of those times in your life where you actually feel the sting of getting older.  I love my girlfriends, but I now know that our friendships are going to end up changing a little bit.  Life can be so complicated at times.
