This has been the wettest summer that I remember for this area. I have lived here for 18 years and the summers have always been hot with some thunderstorms once or twice a week. But it seems like we have had sun once or twice a week instead of the rain. It’s downright depressing – how do the people in Washington and Oregon stand it?

Mid September
The best thing about September is that all the new TV shows have their premiere episodes this month. I have been watching the TV Guide to make sure that I save the time slots for the shows I want to watch. Almost all of the shows I like are on CBS. I wonder if that is just me or does CBS have a lock on the best shows?
Labor Day Grill Out
We are grilling today. This is a big deal for us. Most of the time I just cook on the stove top or in the oven. So to put meat on the grill and stand there while it cooks to make sure it does not catch on fire or burn will be a challenge. I hope it does not rain on us. That would make our grill out not very pleasant and not practical for this holiday weekend. If we get rained out today, at least we have tomorrow for a second chance.
