Another rant about weather. Did you expect much more, considering at home up North, we haven’t had power in about four days now…just saying, I’m not a happy camper. And here I am, camping out at my Mom’s where at least the power is on, but iffy because of ice and the winter storm that passed through on Sunday. The drive to Ohio was an adventure in it’s self. Yep, have to come all the way to Ohio from Michigan in order to have power. I’ve never seen so many downed power lines, trees down or even barn roof’s collapsed due to the ice and snow. Okay, if I wanted to be artistic, and would have remembered to take my camera, it was pretty, as the sun peeked out while we were driving and was setting on the ice laden trees and it made for awesome prisms, but the fact that I hate to be cold, hate the winter and not having power in my house, not to mention not having my computer to work with over shadowed the pretty colors and natures beauty. Nature should start doing something beautiful in shades of green, and pastel…like SPRING COLORS!! What do I do when I stop to get gas and go in to pay for it??? Wipe my feet on the mat, walk onto the floor of the Stop and Rob to pay and promptly slid and fell flat on my back. My head bounced, the fall jarred my body from my neck down my back and to my butt, and right arm. I didn’t even feel embarrassed due to the pain. The only good thing out of that is when I got “home” as I call Mama’s… since I’m her “baby”, she of course has been babying me. I won’t get it when I go back to the place I live most the time, but hey, it’s nice to be warm, have great food and loads of homemade chicken soup, along with other mom type stuff she wants to feed my daughter, who came with me, and I.
