Got a new printer

  • Posted on April 30, 2011 at 10:41 am

I got a Kodak printer and I really like it. It did come with two Kodak ink cartridges, one color and one black. I thought that was a good deal along with the price I paid for the printer. I needed another printer anyway.

As much as I hated to retire my old one, it had started miss printing and ink was difficult to find for it. Not to mention pricier than most ink cartridges that are now available. Looking at various new printers, I had also been considering the price of the ink I would have to use in it. I kept going back to the printers that took Kodak ink, because even online it was less costly than some of the others, and being into photography most all of my life, I have always trusted Kodak film. Why shouldn’t I trust Kodak ink also?

When I got my printer home and used it for the first time, with the Kodak printer ink, I wasn’t disappointed. Not at all. Crisp clear and what I would expect from the Kodak company. Now I’m printing off everything I can get my hand on…lol!

The Royal Wedding

  • Posted on April 28, 2011 at 10:33 am

I meant to watch the Royal Wedding yesterday, but only caught bits and pieces of the “replay” as I kept flipping channels back to the news of Alabama. Though it was nice to watch the wedding to lighten things up and see beauty for awhile, I think most of our Nation forgot about the poor people in the Southern states there all together with all the buzz of the wedding over all the media for weeks and every news station this past week also.
The wedding was classy and beautiful and not overstated which was nice. The hats were totally unreal. I’ve never seen such bizarre hats in my life. Everyone of course were expecting more of a kiss between the two. I thought it was a nice kiss. Heck, what did the people expect them to do in front of billions of people…swap spit and get down in dirty right up there on the balcony?? I had to laugh at the news casters comments about it, though.

Terrible disasters happening

  • Posted on April 27, 2011 at 10:23 am

These natural disasters all over the world are really disturbing me. And I’m sure they are hurting and disturbing others as well. Now the latest devastation in the Southern states, especially Alabama. As far as I’m concerned, God is pissed off at the whole word and what we have done to it, and each other. I’m getting some things like clothes and bottled water together to send down there, but it hardly seems like a dent compared to what these people need. Prayers go out to the people and family’s who have been effected by these terrible tornadoes.

A place for flowers

I’m so happy because  my window box planters arrived this morning and are beautiful. I can’t wait to have them hung and to plant in my flowers in them. I haven’t decided which kind of flowers to plant, but I’d like something that compliments the boxes.

When I decided to get window boxes, I had a really hard time choosing which kind to get. What kind of material they should be made of and the size of them. Of course I did measuring and changed my mind about one hundred times while looking for the perfect ones for my house, because there were so many to choose from. I’m picky about my flower boxes and pots I put my “babies” in. I’m glad I took my time, because I’m totally satisfied with that choice.

When I am perfectly happy and satisfied with something that I have ordered, without even seeing the product or checking it out “in person” so to speak, they deserve a big thank you,  as my boxes are beautiful, were reasonably priced and I love them. I’m sending out an email to this company right after I get the rest of my morning going. I can’t wait to have the boxes hung and to start planting!

Happy gardener

I ordered some flower and window boxes about two weeks ago and had to have them tracked, because to be honest, despite of the weather still being really rainy and dreary, I’m getting impatient for them to get here. I found out that they will be here tomorrow!! I’m so looking forward to that UPS truck pulling into the driveway!! (doing the happy dance…).
