This does not surprise me at all, of course. We will be going to my Mom’s on Sunday and I’ll be seeing to some things that need taken care of there. Then I want to spend a quiet evening here at home on the 4th. There are too many drunk and crazy drivers on the road during these holiday weekends and we can see what fireworks there are to see, on Sunday night and some on the 4th anyway, from here or in our lot. It’s no big deal to the kids anymore considering they are nearly all grown. I think it is me who made a big deal out of all the fireworks anyway. The husband has to work on the night of the 4th, so it would mean he couldn’t be with us anyway. We aren’t going to miss out on much. It will be good just to sit on the porch and relax, if I’m not asleep early like I have lately taken to.
