Tomorrow the whole clan, meaning my big family, will be celebrating my mom’s 73rd birthday! She is an awesome woman and has beat so many odds in life that it is nearly unbelievable.
The family will be getting together for the celebration and the house is going to be packed full, but we have what I referee to as a, “lovingly dysfunctional family” who all are my mom’s pride and joy, despite of how we have chosen to lead our lives. She has always been there for us, and we are so fortunate to have mom still with us.
Everyone is going to be bringing a dish to pass and I know there is going to be some really interesting food, since we all cook with our own style. Mom won’t have to lift a finger, which is going to be hard for her, since she loves to cook and it’s been a big part of her life for so long. All in all, I’m sure it’s going to be a wonderful day for her!
