Custom made suits for men

  • Posted on May 15, 2012 at 11:17 am

By growing up with my Nana and Papa in my life nearly every week, or for weeks on end in the summer, at a young age, I learned the difference in custom made suits and the suits that were, “off the rack” so to speak. I have to be honest and say that in my opinion, custom made suits for any occasion that calls for a man to wear a suit, looks so much better. They may be more expensive, but they are indeed worth it. My Papa always wore them. He was a giving man and would take the shirt off his back to give it to someone in need, and his suits were the only vanity he ever showed, though he only wore them on special occasions.

My Papa always got his suits from LS Mens Clothing Custom Suits, for as long as I can remember. I know that this mens shop has been in business for longer than I was born, and I’m a bit over 50. This says a lot about the suits these people make and what kind of quality they have.

Looking at their site that this business has, is impressive. It is elegant and classy, not flashy and commercial. I like it, and love to look at the various styles of suits and tuxedos. Definitely one of my Raves!

Beautiful weather and a good seed holder

  • Posted on May 15, 2012 at 10:40 am

I’m so happy that the beautiful weather I mentioned in a post recently, has lasted. Today, I’m going to try and clean out the eaves troughs and also pick up sticks, sweep up whirly twirleys as I call them. Those little seed pod things that come off my maple trees in zillions. They are a major pain for me.

I also have to fix the screening on the windows and vents in the attic. There are a lot of home improvements I plan on doing this year, inside and out. Money is the problem, but somehow it will come.

I never plant until after Mother’s Day, so now I’m getting all the seeds organized and put in containers instead of plastic bags and seed packets that will blow away when I lay them down next to me. The egg carton containers are really great for this, if you have heavy seeds to plant. The egg carton won’t move much.

Using travel agents to visit Kenya

  • Posted on May 15, 2012 at 9:39 am

Lately, I’ve been talking to Kenya travel agents to find out more of the place I may go to visit. I’d really love to go, as my dear friend Kirsty lives near there, and she has given me an open invitation to come to Africa whenever it is possible for me to get away for a week. I think it would be totally awesome to go to visit, and perhaps go on a safari tour, or just go to the little shops and see what kind of pretty and unique things I can find while shopping.

My friend and I met online 14 years ago, in a group that basically showed other members where we lived, and our lifestyles. It has since changed and we no longer have that group online. After Kirsty and I “met” in the group, she and a few other members decided to come visit me in my farm life community, since most of the ladies (there were 6) were basically city people.

Kirsty told me about her homeland and showed me recent photos of her new home. Her surroundings are beautiful. She also mentioned looking on the internet for Kenya travel agents who could set up tours, shopping sprees, and accommodations during my visit. I think that would be the way to do things, so I can make the most of my vacation, and see and do what I really want to do. Going to visit another Country and being out of my own Country is strange to me, but also exciting and fun.

Visiting Mom on Mother’s Day

In a little while the family and I are going to visit my Mom for Mother’s Day. I’m looking forward to seeing her and also might see some of my siblings if they are making it over to Mom’s today too. It always feels good going home, and to me, where my Mom is, is my home.

For all my readers, I wish you a Happy Mother’s Day, and I’ll leave you with this:

Has summer come early here?

This morning I let the dog out, and was totally surprised that it was so warm outside. It felt like walking out the door, and into a sort of warm tropical feeling heat, that reminded me of where I lived on the Gulf in Florida. I loved those morning and the weather I had there year around. Going back into the house, I actually got chilled, and the difference in temperatures surprised me.

Today I’m going to do some earnest gardening and transplanting volunteer plants from where they are, to a more spacious place, that isn’t in the cracks of my brick walkways. It’s amazing how my valarian is now growing in with the lily of the valley, and parsley in with the chick and hens. The list could go on forever. Since basically despite of good planning and organization, my plants do what they want to do.

Because its so warm outside, today will be a good day to spray the weeds that are growing between the cracks of the bricks, as the roots are so deep, that I even pulled up a brick, trying to dig out the roots of some weeds I had never seen before. Everything seems to be changing, or different plants seem to be growing. However, it doesn’t matter as long as I am outside in the warm embrace of the sun and summer feeling. It’s almost spiritual for me. It gives me peace of mind and I relax and enjoy what I am doing, which I love.
