Damaged mailbox epidemic

  • Posted on January 19, 2012 at 7:40 pm

I don’t know if it’s the way the weather has been, since it’s been icy and snowing most days lately, but two of my friends have had mailboxes also damaged. One of my blogging buddies, Connie had hers hit about the same time I had mine wiped out. My other friend who lives in town had his torn off his house while he was out of State on business.

I’ve gotten a replacement, but I don’t really like it. Still, it will have to do until at least Spring. The ground is too frozen now to put in another post.

I wish people would drive more carefully down this road, and slow their speed down to what it is supposed to me on this road also. This keeps costing me money and I can’t move our mail box any further from the road.

Another touch of the flu?

  • Posted on January 8, 2012 at 7:29 pm

Almost every one of my friends are coming down with what seems like a flu bug. It starts with a headache, then chills and even emotional ups and downs. It’s really strange. I keep saying I’m not going to get it…trying to think positive and all that. BUT, I’ve had half a headache all day and just feel icky. No doubt why I didn’t want to go to the grocery store today. Perhaps it wasn’t just my flaw of procrastination.

Really cool titanium rings that last forever

  • Posted on January 7, 2012 at 7:30 pm

I had never heard of Titanium rings before. When a friend of mine was getting engaged, she came to my house for tea and showed me rings that she wanted, because she thinks her boyfriend was going to ask her to marry him. It’s about time, is what I feel. They have been a couple for nearly nine years and are so much in love and right for one another. My friend Eva is a person that likes the unique and unusual, so she decided to come to me to tell her what I thought about what she wanted…just in case.

I know she had talked to her boyfriend about Tungsten Rings before, also which I wasn’t familiar with until she showed me what they looked like, and I have to admit I fell in love with them. I’m already married of course, but I would love to have a band like the one she picked out. Or at least similar to one like it. It’s beautiful!

Eva told me that the rings have a lifetime warranty, which is a lot more than mine has. There is also a lifetime refinishing warranty on them. When I look at my rings, and some of the scratches on them, I think this is great that the company has this.  The rings she picked out that she wants to show her boyfriend are beautiful. So, now I know what titanium rings are. It sounds and looks like my friend found what she has been looking for!

Merry Christmas

I’ve got a lot of wrapping and last minute shopping to do, so I hope every one has a very Happy Christmas and a safe, prosperous New Year!

Are my lists finally finished?

  • Posted on December 18, 2011 at 8:00 am

It would be great to have all my shopping done for once early. I’ve stuck to my lists and so far so good. Of course it doesn’t help that I keep adding little things I’ve forgotten. I am one of those kind of people who think of things at the last minute too. But, so far so good. Hopefully I won’t be doing the mad dash shopping on Christmas eve like I did last year, for some items the kids discovered they can’t live without. If so…it’s resort to, “Give them the money” perhaps. :)
