Computer crash

  • Posted on March 19, 2013 at 4:31 pm

Right now I’m using my son’s computer as mine crashed last night. I was watching one of the shows I like on Hulu and all of a sudden the screen went blank and everything shut down. It didn’t over heat either, since I only had it on for about half an hour.

My oldest son is super good at fixing computers and when he looked at mine, which is a lap top he couldn’t even find a way to get the back off. He said that he’ll look at it again tonight after band practice, and hopefully he can figure out what is wrong with it. I really hope he can, since I don’t have the funds right now to go out an buy a new computer.

It seems like if it’s not one thing going wrong lately, it  is another.  Time for a major break here, I’d say. I’ve got to look at this as not a set back, but one of those things that just happen. It’s really frustrating though since my job depends on having a reliable computer. I’ll have to see what my son can find out later this evening, and if I have to get another one, hope that I can balance it into my budget.

Wholesalers USA for glass pool tiles to glass beads

  • Posted on March 12, 2013 at 11:15 pm

Originally while surfing the net I was looking for glass pool tile for the pool, thinking that it would be sort of an item I’d most definitely have to put on my wish list and then go on to other ideas until my budget could afford it. A friend Connie told me about Wholesalers USA and I have to admit that I was so impressed I have even ordered samples of what I may be able to buy for our pool! It’s really an economical what to go, so I did much more research to make sure my money matters wouldn’t take a beating after all was said and done with the final buy.

As I was browsing the inventory at www.wholesalerusain.com it was a surprise to me because I found glass gems, jewelry findings and as aforementioned glass beads for various jewelery projects. I was totally totally interested with the glass beads for the clothing that I make, and also, since we are putting in a mega fish aquarium, the glass gems of our choice in color will be not only a home improvement investment, but recreation and also decor…all within my price range so far!

One item or rather project that stuck in my mind at http://www.wholesalersusainc.com was a fantastic mosaic that could have been used anywhere. It was a of a fish in it’s surroundings and it really was extraordinary. The colors and subject would look awesome in my pool once we redo it, but it could also be used in a bathroom, or even in a kids room if they liked the ocean and fish. Kicker is, I hardly ever go on a rave about a company, but I indeed am going to make an effort to do business with this one. They have an incredible amount of items that would interest crafters to builders and DIY people!

Photographs of strangers

Yesterday, the son of a friend of mine stopped over to see if I wanted anything he had cleaned out of a woman’s garage. He does this as a side job, and at times comes to me with some awesome finds. He had saved some silk flowers and wreath frames he knew I would be interested in, also some very well made baskets and other odds and ends I can either give to another person for crafts or I can use it myself. However, with starting on spring cleaning, I’m trying to get rid of things! He also had a lot of photographs in nice frames and a really large photo album stuffed with pictures.

I can’t stand throwing away photographs of people, even if I don’t know who they are. This looks to be a complete family album. The only name I could find on a photo was of a small male child. And there were a slew of photos of him as he was growing up. My son looked the name up on Facebook and brought up one name that was close. Instead of DJ the young man’s name is Daniel, with the same last name so we figured it could be him, as he even resembled the child in the photos, only a “young man” version.

After we explained why we messaged him and what little we could tell him where the pictures had come from, and what the woman’s first name is who owns the house. Maybe we can find the owner of these photos and the album. I hope so, because I know how I would feel if I lost or someone had thrown away my photographs. I surely would want them back. It has made me certain that from now on, I am indeed putting names and dates on the back of photos that I have and will take in the future.

Better business through Explain it Videos

  • Posted on March 4, 2013 at 12:18 pm

Being the kind of person who happens to like Explain it Videos when I am online searching for items to buy, or a site that explains the person or corporation’s business and merchandise, I’ve decided I just may try this method to advertise and explain my small business. It makes perfect sense, that this way of doing the advertising through a video, would help with my business and also have a great explanation of it.

Sometimes just reading about items on line or the way a company runs,  and the values of their wares or professional advice, isn’t enough. Plus it’s totally impersonal, in my opinion. Sometimes it’s hard to get a idea of a concept of what said people are trying to get across to their clients. With a animated video, this would make it easy for me at least.

At the site illustrateitvideo.com, they can help with making a high quality video for businesses or other types of websites that need to explain what you are about and the message you want to convey, then it is embedded into your site. This is great, more personal and actually could be fun with the right video! I’m all for this and I think it would be great for generating more business and it may eliminate confusion and misunderstandings for some people.

Burning data and great Viedos

  • Posted on February 28, 2013 at 3:24 pm

My son’s birthday is coming up and he went to the site, to show me exactly what he wanted for his birthday gift which pertained to videos. Now, I don’t know much about technological things especially when it comes to computers or the things one can do with the right equipment. However,  this site really impressed me, after I read all about burning videos that turn out looking totally professional. It’s amazing the various links this site has and the way the information is written. Even I can understand it! My son is looking forward to taking his and my other son’s band videos and making the music and the video it’s self look and sound more professional that it already does.

I had also read about data burning and that all my data can be saved and burned,  in case of unforeseen problems. This is a plus for me. I’ve lost all of my data before and it was quite a miserable and expensive experience. I never want that to happen again.

Another great thing is that there are over 350 tutorials, editing tips and also news and events to be had on the Video Timeline. This actually wants me to find out even more on all of the links there is to choose from to learn about this kind of thing. Even someone such as I, who is totally new to all of this, could understand the ins and out, the way it is explained. I’m now fascinated in this as a future hobby for my photography and music and perhaps one day will be ripping music and making my own high quality videos!
