There have been times when I have thought, “I should have bet on that team.” Usually I am not into Sports betting. I’m not the betting kind, but I do sometimes get a “feeling” that an underdog is going to win, and sure enough…the do. I do know quite a few people who are hard core fans of their certain teams and will place bets on them.
I’m always afraid though, in the back of my head that if I do bet on sports, that I’ll loose my money and I need that money for other things. I do however love to watch horse racing. I remember a long time ago, the Kentucky Derby was on television. A friend offered to place a bet for me, and to pick a horse. Back then, we didn’t have cell phones, or internet but I was watching the horses and I picked the only light colored horse to win. The name of the horse was, Sunny’s Halo. My friend kept dialing the number and it was busy. A constant busy signal. I was kind of bummed out, because I really had a feeling that this horse, who was a long shot would win. Sure enough, He won.
So that is my luck…go figure. lol! I haven’t bet on sports except the Red Wings to bring home the Cup and that was years ago, when they then also were a total long shot.
