Snow in April

  • Posted on April 25, 2013 at 9:35 am

While taking the dogs out this morning I stopped short at the back door and realized that it had snowed over night. Not just a little dusting either. The white stuff covered the ground and despite the sun shining, it was so cold outside that it felt like winter all over again.

Snow in April, only in Michigan. This is so crazy and it feels like it’s never going to get warm. Of course, I had to put on boots and a heavy coat, while my poor dogs were waiting (with legs crossed) to go outside and do their business. They were patient and ignored my string of not good words said with disgust of the snow and cold.

My iris, daffodils and other spring plants were bending with the snow and I felt so sorry for the fat little robins that had arrived shivering with the cold. Okay, I didn’t see the robins shivering, but I was so everyone had to be cold. It’s the rule here. Mom is cold, everyone is.

Art Prints and More

Since I am always on the look out for special gifts to give to friends, and also card are a big thing for me to send, I surf the net for sites that offer unique gifts, goodies, art and items I can give as gifts. I love to send Thank You Cards and I have plenty of dear friends that I like to thank on a regular basis. The cards can say a whole lot in just even one small sentence, combined with a great design. In other words, I’m a card freak!!

Art Prints make a special gift when I want to give them to a person as a “just because” gift. While I was on the site where I’d like to order the cards from, I read about the artist and I think that the creator of these pretties and goodies really is a unique person who can make you happy just by looking at what she creates. I’d love to hang some of her prints in my home!

There is a link also on this site that deals with Business Planning. I’m going to check out all the particulars in more debt to see what it is all about and if this could be of assistance with my small business. It’s always worth the shot checking out various helpful ways of building a business up. In the mean time, I’m going to see what I may want to order. There are some friends birthdays coming up and I have a feeling I can find a great gift for each of them!

Celebrating Earth Day

  • Posted on April 22, 2013 at 12:48 pm

This morning for Earth Day a lot of the people in our small town banded together and cleaned the banks of the small stream that winds through the town and into the river. It was no easy task. I could not believe the garbage that people dumped there and also the amount of debris that gathered on the banks just over the winter, due to blowing winds and the elements.

In my opinion, I believe that Earth Day should be observed every day, to keep our environment clean, and the animals natural habitats safe. I hope every one does something, no matter how small or large to help save the earth. It may be wishful thinking, but it sure would make a difference.

Seeds and more seeds

  • Posted on April 20, 2013 at 12:33 pm

Yesterday my mom and I went seed shopping and I have to admit she went over board on the zinnia seeds. I don’t have a clue where I’m going to plant all these seeds, but we did get some unique varieties of them.

Her garden plots are not very big and I tend them for her when I go there on the weekends, since she can’t do the bending and lifting like she used to. She always says to just “scatter, scatter the seeds”…no kind of planning to it. Me on the other hand like my flowers to grow according to height so the little short ones can be seen.

All in all I do believe she and I bought at least 40 packets of various flower seeds. Next week I’ll get my veggie seeds for my garden here at home. I’ll start some of them inside so they will be ready to plop in the ground after Mother’s Day. We got great deals on the seeds that we did buy so at least we saved some money for other garden pretties!!

Divorce Lawyer in Farmington Hills Mi.

  • Posted on April 15, 2013 at 9:48 pm

As much as I hate to hear bad new, my friend Lisa who lives in north of me, called and is looking for a Divorce Lawyer in Farmington Hills MI which is near where she lives. I had a feeling that things were not going well with the marriage, but my friend is one of those people who try to keep things up beat and not make big scenes. That is until her husband started all kinds of problems with custody, the house and even the vehicles, saying that they were his despite of the fact that everything is in both of their names.

She told me she had found a professional representative named Judith H. Blumeno and even shared the lawyers Attorney Profile, which was rather impressive. I think this lawyer can really help my friend with the troubles her husband is trying to push on her.

I feel a lot better knowing that Lisa has a good lawyer, or at least she is looking and doing her homework on who she would like to represent her and if they can give her the best representation at a reasonable price. It’s hard enough to go through a divorce so one shouldn’t have to be blown away with the cost or have any hidden surprises.
