Watermelons are grown by planting seeds in a sandy soil and giving them plenty of water. So how does one get a seedless watermelon? It seems that it would be physically impossible to have a watermelon with out seeds for more than one generation. With no seeds to reproduce, how do they get the next year’s crop? I don;t understand.

This year my roses are not healthy. There are little black spots on the leaves and the blooms are not opening. My neighbor tells me that i have rust and need to get a spray from the hardware store to treat my roses. So I am headed to Lowe’s and see what they’ve got to take care of my beautiful roses.

It is amazing to me how much laundry a person can generate.

When I was by myself, I did laundry on Wednesday nights. It took one hour and twenty minutes to do all my clothing and household linens for the week.

Now I have to do laundry every day. I have a constant cycle of clothes going into the washer, clothes going into the dryer, and clothes going back upstairs to be folded and hung up on hangars.

A little boy asked me what is my favorite color? I had to stop and think about it for a moment. My favorite color in general? Or my favorite color for clothing? Or the prominent color in my furniture and bedding? The color of my car?

These are all different things. I love the color yellow. But I do not have yellow furniture and sheets. My car is not yellow. I do not wear much yellow because I do not feel it is attractive against my skin tone.

But I do love the color yellow. It attracts my eye in paintings. I love the sunshine. I always feel happy and bright when I are surrounded by yellow things.

Next weekend is the Talladega NASCAR race. My girlfriend, Chris, has gone to that race every year since she was 10 years old. Her mother lives about 15 minutes from the race track, so she always has a free place to sleep. That makes it really easy to go away for a weekend of racing fun!
