I was surfing the internet tonight and came across some photos of soldiers in Afghanistan. I couldn’t help but be reminded of all the hard work these men and women are doing for all of us. This war has really gone on for a long time. When it began I remember thinking about and praying for the soldiers on a daily basis. Now 5-6 years into the war I have to say there are days that pass when I forget that we have many military men and women still fighting for us.
I like to think that the war is coming to an end. By looking at these pictures tonight it brought back memories of the early days of the war. It made me think about the first Christmas that our troops were over there and my friends and I sent over care packages. I guess it is a good thing to be reminded, it gives me an opportunity to pray for and show support for our troops all over again.
