Commercials

  • Posted on September 2, 2011 at 2:05 pm

I have this “thing” about a certain insurance company’s commercials. I love them. Actually, I really like some commercials. I know that it might be sort of a odd thing to like, but a person has to feel like I do on this subject. I love the glasses commercial where the lady calls her cat in, and a raccoon comes toddling into the house too! Without my glasses on, it’s no doubt something I would do! Some of these commercials are really creative, and I appreciate that!

Great tickets

I’m always on the lookout for cheap tickets to see show, games and also for tickets to concerts. I even look for them for friends and family members who want to go out to see either their favorite team play or for the kids shows or concerts they want to go to. I came across a link that has inexpensive tickets for seats to just about anything you’d be into. Like for instance, my girlfriend wanted to take her grand daughter to see Sesame Street and she got Sesame Street Live tickets for half of what she normally would have paid for them.

I’m not into sports much except for baseball or hockey and only Detroit, like most of my friends, but I was looking at ticket prices and my one friend is into the Jets, so I found him New York Jet tickets and told him about them. Also if a person likes football one can get for instance Pittsburgh Steelers tickets.

I have no idea who or what Adele is, but ran across Adele tickets also. But my favorite that I can across just browsing, was the David Copperfield tickets! What an illusionist. I’ve seen him plenty of times on television, but never in person, so I’d love one day to go to one of his shows.

Herbal nutrition

I usually don’t blog about products that I don’t care for or haven’t tried myself. I mean, how could I honestly talk of something if I know not a thing about them. In this case, I’m going to, because years ago I used to be an Herbalife distributor for awhile and only stopped because I unexpectedly got pregnant and my child had a lot of medical problems so all my time, of course went to him and getting him well, doctor’s appointments, surgeries and loads of worry. I couldn’t do my job as I should have and so I stopped, since in my book my children will always come first.

Herbalife today has gotten to be a much larger corporation and much more advanced than when I was into it. A friend of mine has an actual company of her own now in Ohio and it has literally changed her life around. She is knowledgeable in nutrition and so very helpful to so many people. I’ve known her for years, and just by using this product, taking the courses and going to seminars and then having her business, she has blossomed. Both physically, and emotionally, but also she is actually smiling again and just beautiful inside and out. She has confidence. Something she never ever used to have. She interacts with other Herbalife distributors, and also has so much confidence in doing so. I’m happy for her.

A person interested can find Herbalife online and it right there are your fingertips. It’s healthy, not harmful and the range of products available is outstanding. I’d love to get back into it once things are settled down around here. It’s well worth it. My friend Cheryl is living proof!

Help with business

  • Posted on April 14, 2011 at 10:51 am

As I’ve said I have been doing the brainstorm thing about putting my costumes and other craft items out there for more of the public to see. Course, then I got thinking also, that I don’t really have the time to mess with putting up a web site and dealing with the hassles and headaches even if I knew how to even begin to do what needs to be done to start this whole project. I came across a solution that seems exactly what I need. I’ve of course heard of and perhaps blogged about web hosting in the past. I needed something with a bit more…Ommmph, to it. (okay, another one of my words…). Back to internet I went, reading, asking questions and getting info. I came across a great link, that even me being computer challenged could “get” and understand and to tell you the truth, I felt on top of the game so to speak, because I indeed could understand for the most part, what this business does to help people with small or medium businesses.

While reading, I was totally amazed about the state of the art and just total high (very high) tech ins and outs of this web host. I had never realized that so much went into something like this and how safe my business would be in their hands, so to speak. There is managed hosting, which would be perfect for me since I don’t know doodle of what the heck I’m doing, event though I know what I want. These nice people basically do it all for you and it isn’t as expensive as I thought it would be at all.

Being that I live out in the “boonies” I was worried about finding a server and web host that would be in my  area, but there is colocation which I thought was super cool. The good thing is, I can feel safe with my business in the hands of others now after reading all the info that I did and looking at the photos. Plus I learned a great deal more than I have after days of searching the net for what I’ve been looking for. I think I just might go for it.

Getting it out there

A dear friend of mine designed two pair of earrings for me and sent them in the mail. I was so surprised that she wanted me to have earrings that no one else would have. She knows I really like unique earrings and bracelets, and her business on the side is indeed making jewelry. She is very creative and good at what she does. Her “real” job is quite demanding, but she would like to put her jewelry on the web in what would be her store. I think it’s a great idea, personally. The kicker is that she doesn’t really have time to do a site, and get her jewelry advertised. She even makes beaded head pieces that are gorgeous. I know a lot of women who live in NYC and go to the clubs dressed in semi clothing and who wear these kinds of hair dressings, as I call them.

I suggested to my friend to go through an for her needs. She could get her wares out to mass media via the net. And the great part is, someone else would do the work for her at an affordable price. That way she wouldn’t have to stress out about her job or her business. The great thing also is, that by going with an advertising agency, they make up pages in a really stylish way, and set up all the advertising for her, to get it out world wide.

I’ve been seriously thinking about using an advertising agency for the costumes I make. I don’t just make them for Halloween, though that is my most busy season. If I had my costumes advertised on the net or in the media of any kind, it sure would get out there and may bring in lots more business for me. It’s a thought I’m kicking around, at least.
