There was a new exhibit at the art museum that started today and I have never seen so much precautions for the amount of people there. Stanchions were put up and it was was very well planned out. Actually in all the times I’ve been going to the art museum, I’ve of course have seen a lot of people there on the same day, or when a new exhibit is there and it’s the first day of the showing, but not this many.
The parking lot is very large, but there also were barricades across one whole side of the back entrance where I suppose the art is unloaded to take into the museum, and then to have it loaded back up when the exhibit is moved. But even with the museum having a large parking lot, there also were traffic cones to stop people from parking in various areas of it, which made parking a bit more difficult and a lot longer walk.
The exhibit was totally exceptional. I had been waiting for the Egyptian artifacts and even the mummy to be shown for months. Of course they had the velvet ropes all over so people couldn’t touch the glass, but I could still stand close enough to view it perfectly. I could also walk right up to the glass cases to get a really close look at the jewelry, which is the true reason I went to see the exhibit in the first place. It was truly amazing and a wonderful trip to the art museum.
