Custom made suits for men

  • Posted on May 15, 2012 at 11:17 am

By growing up with my Nana and Papa in my life nearly every week, or for weeks on end in the summer, at a young age, I learned the difference in custom made suits and the suits that were, “off the rack” so to speak. I have to be honest and say that in my opinion, custom made suits for any occasion that calls for a man to wear a suit, looks so much better. They may be more expensive, but they are indeed worth it. My Papa always wore them. He was a giving man and would take the shirt off his back to give it to someone in need, and his suits were the only vanity he ever showed, though he only wore them on special occasions.

My Papa always got his suits from LS Mens Clothing Custom Suits, for as long as I can remember. I know that this mens shop has been in business for longer than I was born, and I’m a bit over 50. This says a lot about the suits these people make and what kind of quality they have.

Looking at their site that this business has, is impressive. It is elegant and classy, not flashy and commercial. I like it, and love to look at the various styles of suits and tuxedos. Definitely one of my Raves!

Using travel agents to visit Kenya

  • Posted on May 15, 2012 at 9:39 am

Lately, I’ve been talking to Kenya travel agents to find out more of the place I may go to visit. I’d really love to go, as my dear friend Kirsty lives near there, and she has given me an open invitation to come to Africa whenever it is possible for me to get away for a week. I think it would be totally awesome to go to visit, and perhaps go on a safari tour, or just go to the little shops and see what kind of pretty and unique things I can find while shopping.

My friend and I met online 14 years ago, in a group that basically showed other members where we lived, and our lifestyles. It has since changed and we no longer have that group online. After Kirsty and I “met” in the group, she and a few other members decided to come visit me in my farm life community, since most of the ladies (there were 6) were basically city people.

Kirsty told me about her homeland and showed me recent photos of her new home. Her surroundings are beautiful. She also mentioned looking on the internet for Kenya travel agents who could set up tours, shopping sprees, and accommodations during my visit. I think that would be the way to do things, so I can make the most of my vacation, and see and do what I really want to do. Going to visit another Country and being out of my own Country is strange to me, but also exciting and fun.

Reality shows

I’m not a great fan of television, but tonight I did watch some reality shows my friend Lindsay recommend. Fashion Runway was one since I have an interest in sewing, just like she does. Okay, I’m hooked on this one. I have to laugh about it a bit, since I missed lots of episodes. I’m sure though, there will be reruns that I can watch. That silly woman gets me hooked on the strangest things. LOL!

Great kid’s fashion

My grand daughter spent the weekend with me and I discovered that she is really into designer children’s fashions. She showed me a whole lot of things on the internet that is on her wish list. I have to admit that I personally can’t afford some of the items she picked out that she wants, but others I can,  and it was great fun to spend the time browsing with her and finding out about kid’s fashions. It’s also very cool to see that my grand daughter indeed has a flair for fashion and loves to do her wish shopping online at Ladida.

I have to admit that while looking at different designers such as Matooka, it took me back to when my oldest daughter, (my grand daughter’s Mom) was young. She had a great sense of fashion, but back then of course we didn’t have computers or the means to online shop. We had catalogs and it just didn’t do the clothes justice as shopping on line does now. When going shopping I realized that kids will have their own sense of style and that though sometimes it’s a bit oddly put together, that they are trying out their own personality and sense of wearing what they feel comfortable in and even some of my kids and grand children were and are trend setters.

Christmas is coming up and my grand daughter found a Appaman coat she can’t live without. I think I will surprise her with it as a gift. I know she’ll love that kind of a present!

Up coming wedding

  • Posted on September 2, 2011 at 2:46 pm

With the up and coming wedding in the family,  and of course it’s being held in Toledo, our home town, we are pretty fortunate that it’s been  relatively  sooth sailing so far for the most part. My sister and the maid of honor looked up Wedding Florists Toledo, and  has  gotten some good results so they say. I’m so glad. This time of year, it seems everyone is getting married in these months. Maybe it’s because for once, the weather is okay. Though it has been really hot, we can’t complain a all, compared to other States who have had the fall out and storms from Irene. We’ve had our share of storms and rather unpredictable weather, but nothing like it could have been, even with the lakes.

I happen to love Toledo. As everyone knows I go “home” or try to, every weekend, but certainly every other weekend if I can, and I never have a problem finding services of any sort that we don’t have here. To me, flowers are my passion in my gardens and life, but indeed in a wedding they make up a great deal of the whole celebration because flowers are important to all of my family’s lives. I think Mom had lots to do with that and she suggested Toledo wedding florists, since they could be found right there in our hometown.

We’re all looking forward to this wedding. I’ve never seen or met a couple so right for one another, and after seven years I do believe they know what is right for them. By checking out wedding flowers in Toledo, it will make things even more less complicated I believe, then trying to hunt down some others and them not being in the local area. It’s just my opinion, as I think a wedding should be less of a hassle than what some people make of it all. All the preparations are zoned into our home town to do this in the first place, and we are all looking forward to this special occasion so very much!
