Suitable London Apartments

  • Posted on September 14, 2012 at 3:41 pm

Often I’ve wanted to travel to London but being an American and not really knowing anything about the area or the country for that matter, my concern was finding suitable London Apartments at a price I could afford. In truth, I would need to contact someone who knew the area well and I would prefer someone who actually lived there.

When I travel, I like to know about places of interest and also the good restaurants to eat at and in general all the information I can possibly get, before I go off into a foreign land, so to speak. I hate getting lost and even though I love to wander the market places in different countries as I do in the US,  it would be difficult if I didn’t have a guide or at least someone who could inform me about various attractions.

Finding suitable lodging has been made easier by the Robert and Polly Arnold family. They are Londoners and along with their children have lived there all of their lives.  They have 22 years of experience in London Apartments! Contacting them is a must on my list when I decide to plan my trip abroad. This is the kind of service that would save so much hassle, money and aggravation, that I could enjoy my visit without worry.

School supplies and school clothes

I can not understand why the school piles on the task of buying everything from to supplies to books and school photographs all in the same week. It is enough to break a persons bank account quicker than anything.

Even with having only one kid left to complete high school, buying everything that is needed to just start the school year is really expensive. To be honest, I don’t know how I did it with three in school but I somehow managed. I feel for other families that have to shell out money they don’t have because of this poor economy we are experiencing.

I did save a great deal on my son’s favorite button up shirts and T-shirts. His shoes I never skimp on price for quality, but we found a pair that he wanted really badly and they were on sale. ( I love to shop online for certain things like this, and we also got free shipping!) I’m sure this savings is going to go to the “surprise” supplies that he will need in the next couple of weeks though.

Finding suitable apartments in London

Finding suitable London Apartments or Bed and Breakfast, while planning a vacation to England can be a daunting chore, if one has never been there before, or even if you have been and needed suitable accommodations, yet didn’t find them up to your satisfaction. My youngest brother was in this situation when he and his wife planned and made reservations for a place to stay while on their vacation last summer. We all asked them how the stay was while traveling, site seeing and enjoying London. They had not been impressed with where they stayed the entire two weeks they were there, so it put a damper on the fun they usually have while being on a holiday in Europe.

This summer, my brother has to go to travel to London on business and will be staying for a little over a month. He didn’t want to take a chance on staying in any London Apartments that his agency had hooked him up with while he was going to be staying there for so long. He had heard about a lovely couple that were in the business of locating and checking out certain places to stay. Since they live in London and know all the sites to see, and also were reputable, he decided to contact them.

According to my brother, all  his questions have been answered to satisfaction and he also was able to get a visual on where he would be staying, as to not to have any nasty surprises when he arrives for his bushiness trip. It will be more enjoyable hearing about his trip this time around, even though he won’t be doing all the site seeing he and his girlfriend did. I love to look at the photographs he takes and perhaps if he is satisfied with his accommodations this time around, I will think about a holiday in London also. One thing that was stopping me, was that I didn’t want to be uncomfortable while being there because of where I stayed. From what my brother told me, the apartment that he has chosen, is less expensive than he had paid before and this helps with money matters. More left over to buy souvenirs!

Online savings with coupons

When I got my first computer, I have to admit that I really had no idea what I was doing. I mainly used it for the email and to keep in contact with family and friends who also had computers. Then as time went on, a lot of friends were telling me of sites that gave coupon codes and the first I had heard about was frugalegg.com new egg.com coupons because of online shopping. I had never shopped for anything online before, but this gave shopping a new twist in my experiences. I found that I really liked the fact that I could do most of my shopping without leaving the house. Believe me when I say that during our winter seasons here, it was a joy to shop and save this way.

Learning about receiving coupons online is really handy also and a great savings. For as long as I can remember, I have been into clipping coupons. It actually started when I was really little and there used to be green stamps that my mom and grandma saved. As I got older, I cut out coupons sitting at the kitchen table with my mom. She raised my sisters and brothers by herself on a limited income, and every penny she could save was indeed a blessing for all of us. When I moved out on my own and started a family, I continued looking for bargains and also kept clipping and using coupons. It’s great that now, a person can shop online and also have coupons to use as extra savings.

There have been times when I have gone grocery shopping and have loaded up my carts only to find that I left some of my coupons at home, and am happy I have had great check out people who have actually saved my bags while I drove home and got my coupons. It’s only happened a couple of times, but I am also glad I only live about ten minutes from where I shop, via car. Now that the economy has gotten so terrible, I think that shopping online and using coupons and coupon codes helps a great deal. Especially for folks on a budget. It’s always good to save money for other things that are needed that one can’t use a coupon for. It does help with money matters.

Batteries for laptops

Lately I have heard my son talking about a new HP Laptop Battery and has been looking at all sort of online sites to find, of course, the best price he can find. He is a bargain hunter when it comes to just about everything he buys. He would rather buy items online than in the stores around this area, and I really don’t blame him. Just being out of school and trying to save the little money his job pays. When it comes to help with money matters, he has even showed me a trick or two on saving. He is on the internet so much I can see why he’d need a better and more reliable battery.

I’ve seen him in public places try to find a place to plug into, when he takes me to appointments, and his battery gets low. Sometimes there isn’t any power source for him to do so, and then he can’t do homework or he isn’t able to finish what he is working on at the time.

I myself really have not ever had this problem, since I usually don’t take my laptop with me. If I do, I know that I’ll have a power source. Thinking about it though, perhaps I should indeed get a longer lasting and more reliable battery than the one I have now.
