Pool house or get away

  • Posted on August 26, 2012 at 10:25 pm

Now that summer is nearly over, I’m kicking around the idea of remaking the pool house into a little get away. It’s not really a “pool” house, but everyone calls it that since I store all the pool equipment in there, as well as some of my gardening things. In my opinion, this little house would make a perfect get away for me if I decided to fix the inside up and put a heater in it.

It’s only one room, but it’s large and has cupboards and also a work bench. There would be plenty of room for a desk and also even a sort of day bed, and comfy chair.

The kids used this little house as a play house years ago, and perhaps it is my turn to use it as a studio. The windows offer great light for my painting and also for some of my other hobbies. This is indeed something I’m thinking about doing for myself. It is really a relaxing little place.

Finally Friday

It seems like this week has dragged by. Even though I’ve gotten a lot accomplished and am fully looking forward for the weekend to begin, it doesn’t seem like I did much of anything. Oh well there is always next week.

I plan on just relaxing this weekend. I wouldn’t mind going to some garage and yard sales that I have seen while running errands yesterday. Of course, I don’t really need any more “stuff” in this house, but one never knows what you’ll find and that is my downfall at times.

There are a couple crafts projects I’ve been working on that I would like to finish up and perhaps will do that. But in general, it’s anyone’s guess what I’ll be doing. Main activity on my list is…Nothing! :)

If you know some mothers who are nuts about yoga, then you can easily find gift items to put in Mother’s Day gift baskets for them. The gift items that you will give them will help them on their journey to good balance and peace. These gifts are always appreciated.

Candles are the first things that you can think about when it comes to relaxation, which yoga is all about. Those who want to meditate will frequently do such act by focusing on an open fire. Thus, a candle or set of candles is a perfect item in a gift basket. Also, those scented candles that have the scent of nature can help them get in the mood for meditation.

You can also include yoga DVDs in the gift basket. A holistic yogi can never get enough yoga. They can get additional yoga techniques or styles in yoga DVDs. Yoga DVDs can be used at home at any time of the day because they are a complete yoga exercise presented by expert and experienced teachers.

When you think of yoga, the very first thing that gets into your mind is a person sitting. Yogis use mats when they do the exercises or meditations. There is a wide range of mats that you can buy for your mom. You can go to a sports store or visit sites like Amazon in order to find a right mat for your mom. It is very important to read reviews about a particular mat, so you will have an idea on the quality and effectiveness of the mat.

You can also include a small planner for your mom. There are planners that have subject in them. Hence, choose a planner that has a yoga oriented subject, such as water or nature. These are peaceful subjects to the mind of your mom. You can also try to include a book that covers the greatest respect in yoga.

Mother’s Day gift baskets for yoga lovers are very easy to make. You just need to have the right items to put in the basket. It is very seldom that you can find a premade gift basket for yogis, so you have to get all the right items and make the gift basket on your own. Your mom will truly be happy to get a gift basket on Mother’s Day that is filled with items that she needs in her yoga exercises.
